The activities of dozens ofJewish cultural organizations in various German towns, autonomous until then, was now. placed under the supervision ofa new centralized national board that operated under the Nazi's watchful eyes until it was shut down in September 1941. The new board was also given the task with the publishing and sale ofJewish books.
